Lincoln sweeps track awards

Make it two in a row.

For the second straight week, Lincoln runners swept the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Track Athlete of the Week awards.

Sabiel Anderson garnered repeat honors on the men's side, while Yanique Haye earned the award for the second time this year.

Anderson improved on his MIAA-leading 110-meters time Saturday at the Emporia State Relays, clocking in at 13.94. He won the 400-meter hurdles at the meet with an MIAA-best time of 51.64.

Haye set two automatic qualifying times for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships with her performance as the ESU Relays. The first came in the 400-meter hurdles, where she set an MIAA-best time of 57.91. Haye was also a part of Lincoln's 4x400-meter relay team that qualified with a time of 3:42.12. Michelle Cumberbatch, Lovan Palmer and Nicketa Coombs joined her on the team.
