COLUMBIA, Mo. - There was a time last season when Missouri defensive end Brad Madison was injured so much he had trouble even tackling.

That's not good for a defensive end.

A year after bursting onto the scene as a sophomore and being named to the all-Big 12 team, Madison couldn't even do the things defenders take for granted. He injured his shoulder in practice during the 2011 preseason and was not the same player he was in 2010.

"It was tough knowing you can't hardly tackle anybody," Madison said. "It's tough to go into a game. Just mentally it kind of breaks you down a little bit."

But now healthy, Madison showed the type of skill set that made him an all-conference performer with a pair sacks in Saturday's 41-20 loss to Georgia.
