The United Way of Central Missouri, its partner agencies and sponsors showcased their superhero powers and surpassed the 2012 Community Campaign fundraising goal.

Campaign co-chairs Lori Massman and Jake Green announced Thursday at a Victory Celebration at Missouri Farm Bureau that fundraising has exceeded a goal of $1.65 million and has reached a projected total of $1,734,478.

"It is humbling and a true blessing to have the overwhelming support of this great community," said Ann Bax, local United Way president.
