Cole County commissioners on Wednesday again delayed a decision about ambulance service salaries, after holding a lengthy discussion. A request for commissioners to cover overtime costs that are about $75,000 higher than were budgeted a year ago prompted the discussions.
"We have a budget that is going into its fourth year," Emergency Medical Services Director Mike Shirts said after Wednesday morning's meeting, "and, we're finding areas of disparity that we're trying to flush out."
