Your Opinion: Fair Tax cure

Your Opinion: Fair Tax cure

May 6th, 2012 by Gilbert Schanzmeyer, Jefferson City in News

Dear Editor:

I want to compliment Beverly Martin for her letter to the editor April 15. She is right on target. If the new president we elect in November would follow Martin's recommendations to introduce and pass (HR25) The Fair Tax Bill, and it became law all of our economic and social problems would all be taken care of. The Beacon Hill Research Economists predict a 10.5 percent growth the first year and a 100 percent growth in 15 years, continuing for centuries.

The Fair Tax is a permanent cure for our economy that would allow everybody to achieve any goal that he/she desires, without any limitations or interferences from the federal government.

The U.S. would be the industrial capital of the world. We would never again have a shortage of good jobs for all classes of people for centuries.

All of the businesses that were forced to leave the U.S. will return and they will because no other country offers a tax free business climate.

The passage of HR25 would be a God-send for the U.S. economy and he whole world economy would reap the benefits.

This would be a greater accomplishment for our grandchildren then signing the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, and it would even be a greater accomplishments for all of our great-grandchildren's future generations.

But if we give this president four more years -God help this nation. Every single accomplishment that Obama has made has added to the destruction of our economy.

No one person could make that many mistakes unless it if international and he wants to bankrupt the United State. He has never admitted making any mistakes, and if these are intentional they wouldn't be mistakes from his point of view. This may be why he has hidden his past from the public so no one knows who he really is.
