On Thursday at approximately 11:59 a.m., two Missouri State Troopers, with the assistance of a Miller County Sheriff's deputy, located and arrested a suspected bank robber in Tuscumbia, Mo.

The First State Bank of Iberia was held up by a single subject at approximately 11:30 a.m. The individual left with an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area in a gold colored car with unknown license. At approximately 11:50 a.m., a vehicle matching this description pulled into the Central Bank in Tuscumbia.

A masked subject attempted to enter the locked down facility. After failing to obtain entrance into the bank, the suspect left the parking lot in the gold vehicle. Two troopers located the vehicle traveling behind the Tuscumbia City Hall and were able to place the subject under arrest for armed robbery without incident.

The suspect was later identified as David B. Krzysik, 48 of Waynesville, Mo. He is being held at the Miller County Jail pending charges.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Miller County Sheriff's Office and Iberia Police Department are all assisting in the investigation.
