Cole County is set to begin developing a zoning plan and regulations for the unincorporated portions of the county.
A workshop and public forum will be held Wednesday for residents and business representatives to discuss current and future needs of the county. The meeting is scheduled from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the training classroom at the Cole County Fire Protection District building, 5206 Monticello Road.
County staff and members of the planning team from White & Smith LLC will explain how a zoning code is developed and gather suggestions on the primary zoning needs for the county.
