LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Jorge Brian Diaz made two free throws with 11 seconds left to give Nebraska the lead, Indiana couldn't score on its last possession, and the struggling Cornhuskers upset No. 11 Indiana 70-69 on Wednesday night for the Hoosiers' third straight loss.

Indiana (15-3, 3-4) squandered a 13-point, second-half lead as Nebraska (10-8, 2-5) posted its biggest victory as a new member of the Big Ten.

Jordan Hulls missed on a driving layup, then recovered the loose ball and missed a desperation shot from in front of his bench as time ran out. The ball bounced back toward Hulls, and he kicked it in defeat as Nebraska's student section emptied and rushed the court.

Bo Spencer led the Huskers with 23 points, Toney McCray had 11 and Diaz and Dylan Talley 10 apiece. Cody Zeller led the Hoosiers with 18 points, and Hulls added 12.

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) - Isaiah Canaan scored 20 points and undefeated rallied to beat Morehead State in its toughest Ohio Valley Conference challenge so far.

Murray State (19-0, 7-0) trailed by nine with just under 13 minutes to play before rallying behind Canaan and Donte Poole, who added 15 points, to remain one of two unbeaten teams in men's Division I basketball along with No. 1 Syracuse.

Drew Kelly scored 20 points for Morehead State (9-11, 3-4). The Eagles led 46-37 after a basket by Milton Chavis, but the Racers rallied, using a 10-0 run to take the lead against the defending OVC tournament champions.

STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Sean Kilpatrick hit a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds left and Cincinnati beat Connecticut 70-67 for its seventh straight road victory in the Big East.

Kilpatrick scored 16 points to lead five Bearcats in double figures as Cincinnati (15-4, 5-1 Big East) withstood two big UConn second-half runs and a half-court shot by Niels Giffey at the buzzer that rimmed out.

Cashmere Wright and Yancy Gates each had 13 points for Cincinnati, which sits just behind Syracuse for the conference lead. Shabazz Napier had a career-high 27 points to lead Connecticut (14-4, 4-3), which lost for the first time at home this season.

NO. 14 UNLV 101, TCU 78

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Anthony Marshall had a career-high 27 points, Mike Moser added 16 points and 15 rebounds and UNLV routed TCU.

The Runnin' Rebels sprinted to an 18-2 lead and led by at least 13 points the rest of the way in their Mountain West home opener.

Chase Stanback had 21 points on 5 of 7 shooting from 3-point range, and UNLV (17-3, 1-1) scored more than 100 points for the second time this season and the first time in 10 years in conference play.

Kyan Anderson led the Horned Frogs (10-7, 0-2) with 20 points.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Xavier Thames scored 22 points and No. 16 San Diego State overcame a sluggish start to beat New Mexico for its ninth straight victory.

The Aztecs (16-2, 2-0 Mountain West) also ended New Mexico's winning streak at 13 games.

The Lobos (15-3, 1-1) opened the game with a 10-0 run, with Drew Gordon beginning the spree with a dunk off Kendall Williams' alley-oop pass.

Thames and Chase Tapley helped San Diego State fight back with a 12-2 run that tied it at 12, and the Aztecs took the lead at 28-27 on Tapley's 3-pointer with 2:41 remaining in the first half.

The Aztecs took control midway through the second half behind a 15-0 run that turned a 48-44 deficit into a 59-48 advantage.

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Reginald Buckner scored a career-high 19 points and added 15 rebounds for Mississippi.

Nick Williams added 17 points, and Jarvis Summers had 12 to help Ole Miss (12-6, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) beat its in-state rival for the first time in six attempts.

Buckner is usually known for his defense and is the school's career leader in blocked shots. But he scored with regularity, going 8 of 10 from the field as the Rebels shot 50 percent as a team.

Renardo Sidney led Mississippi State (15-4, 2-2) with 17 points. Arnett Moultrie had his ninth double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Gregory Echenique scored 16 points, and Doug McDermott added 15 to help Creighton beat Missouri State.

Echenique was 5 of 6 from the field, made all six of his free throws and added seven rebounds for the Bluejays (17-2, 7-1 Missouri Valley Conference).

Anthony Downing had 14 points for Missouri State (11-9, 4-4), which beat Creighton in Omaha on Dec. 28. Kyle Weems added 13 points for the Bears, 11 in the second half.

Missouri State had two late chances, but missed both shots en route to its third straight loss.

Weems missed a jumper from the baseline, and McDermott was fouled on the rebound with 6.4 second left.

McDermott then missed a free throw, giving the Bears another chance. Missouri State's Caleb Paterson grabbed the rebound and passed to Downing, who drove the length of the court and missed a jumper from near the free-throw line as time expired.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Rodney McGruder scored a career high 33 points, including a transition dunk in the closing seconds, and Kansas State beat Texas despite lousy foul shooting down the stretch.

McGruder also added eight rebounds for the Wildcats (13-4, 2-3 Big 12) while playing superb defense on the Longhorns' J'Covan Brown, who came into the game leading the Big 12 in scoring.

Brown finished with 22 points for Texas (12-6, 2-3), but the junior guard was just 8 of 28 from the field and 4 of 14 from beyond the arc.
