Teen injured in three-vehicle accident

A Camdenton teen was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 7:45 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 54, east of Cecil Street, in Camden County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Ford, driven westbound by Mikayla E. Nutter, 16, Camdenton, was stopped in traffic in front of a 2006 Chevrolet, driven westbound by Amy D. Whitehead, 24, Osage Beach. A 1998 Dodge, driven westbound by Brenden J. Markquittz, 17, Osage Beach, then struck the rear of the Whitehead vehicle, which struck the rear of the Nutter vehicle.

Nutter was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.

Everyone was wearing seat belts.

A Hermann woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 1:55 p.m. Thursday on Missouri 19, south of Lover's Lane, in Gasconade County.

The patrol reported a 1994 Toyota, driven northbound by Ryan T. Engemann, 33, Hermann, was stopped waiting to make a left turn. A 1997 Chevrolet, driven northbound by Jeannie L. Minks, 32, of Hermann, tried to avoid the Engemann vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road, striking a mailbox, culvert and two trees. A 2006 Ford driven northbound by Anita A. Hoener, 44, Hermann, struck the rear of Engemann's vehicle.

Minks was transported to Hermann Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Everyone was wearing seat belts.
