Missouri forward Laurence Bowers was named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week for his performance against Illinois.

Bowers was a big part of the Tigers' 82-73 victory against the previously unbeaten Illini on Saturday in St. Louis. He scored a team-high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He also had four assists.

Bowers leads Missouri (10-1) in scoring at 16.9 points per game, and is second in rebounding with 6.7 per game. He leads the team in shooting percentage (57.4) and three-point percentage (56.5).
