Miriam Adams, near, Tara VanLoo, and Jill Fincher, all employees of the Family Center Services Unit, along with others, held their regular Unit Meeting but this time it was in the basement of Calvary Baptist Church where they conversed about work topics while wrapping gifts. The Cole County Children's Division held its annual Christmas party and unit meeting in the basement of Calvary Baptist Church on Monday, helping wrap gifts for the Redeem Project.

"We have a unit meeting every year, and this year, we decided we wanted to volunteer for those in need," said Tara Van Loo, children's service supervisor for the division.

This Christmas, the Redeem Project is servicing 537 families in 21 counties in Missouri, 135 of them in Cole County. Last year, the project serviced 72 families in the county.
