The Jefferson City School Board is hosting a forum Monday to outline its plan for a new high school campus and to listen to ideas from the public.
The meeting is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. in the Jefferson City High School cafeteria. The public is invited.
On Dec. 3, board President Joy Sweeney signed separate contracts to sell portions of the current high school campus at 609 Union St. to Linn State Technical College and Lincoln University, although those contracts are contingent on whether voters ultimately approve funding for a new high school.
A few months ago, the board purchased a 118-acre property east of Missouri 179 and north of Mission Drive that it hopes to use as the site of a new state-of-the-art high school.
