Dear Editor:
Any news coverage of Representative Jo Ann Emerson's resignation from Congress is incomplete without mentioning an estimation for how much Missouri taxpayers will be forced to spend on the special election that her resignation has caused.
If Emerson wanted to explore opportunities outside of Congress then she should have chosen not to run for re-election in November.
