Kevin Rome visited with community leaders and answers questions Friday at a Chamber of Commerce sponsored breakfast. Rome is the third of three candidates to be interviewed by local officials and the presidential search committee.

Kevin Rome acknowledges he graduated from college but never left the campus life.

Currently vice chancellor for student affairs at North Carolina Central University, Durham, Rome was the third of three candidates who want to be Lincoln University's next president, and came to Jefferson City this week and met with a variety of groups interested in LU's future.

"You have a jewel here in Lincoln, and you have a great city," Rome told Friday morning's breakfast gathering of people from the community. "I imagine that you each have a vested interest in who is the next president of the institution (and) hopefully, when we leave this room today, you'll know why I am that person."
