Overview of the three panels by artist Betty Woodman installed this week in the Christopher S. Bond U.S. Courthouse in Jefferson City. On the scaffolding at right are Ryan Brady, near, and Gordy Curtis, both from New York. Curtis is an art handler and has been installing Woodman's art for nearly 20 years. Woodman was selected to create the art and spent about three months creating the pieces and they were recently brought in to be put in place.

Three new pieces of artwork greet those arriving at the Christopher S. Bond United States Courthouse in Jefferson City.

Installation of the three murals at the federal courthouse finished Friday, with artist Betty Woodman supervising as her work found its permanent home.

Woodman, 82, was selected to provide the original pieces by a commission through the U.S. General Services Administration. Woodman said she visited the courthouse in January to see the space and determine the best location within the courthouse for the three commissioned pieces, which are now mounted in the front wall of the lobby.
