Jefferson City fire officials have ruled the cause of a fire at a machine shop Thursday night as undetermined.
Spokesman Jason Turner said there was so much damage at Precision Machine Shop, 1703 Christy Drive, they couldn't nail down what started the blaze.
He did say that no foul play is suspected. The building was destroyed, and the damage estimate is at between $2 million and $2.5 million.
Turner said the fire likely began in the showroom area of the building and spread along the ceiling into the rear of the building where the machine shop was located.
No one was injured in the fire.
