The Historic City of Jefferson has broken from its traditional neighborhood home tour in June to host a Civil War Homes Tour 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

Six homes will be open for interior tours along with brief histories of the properties. Four additional historic locations have been identified for those interested in driving by more Civil War history.

Tickets for the tour are $12 in advance at Samuel's Tuxedos or the Art Bazaar downtown or $15 the day of the tour at any featured home.

As an added bonus activity, the Jefferson City National Cemetery, 1024 E. McCarty St., will feature tours guided by local historian Mark Schreiber and Mark Rehagen as President Abraham Lincoln.

And a two-day living history event will be set up in the vicinity of Fremont's Camp Lillie, on the grounds of the present day Dulle House at 800 St. Mary's Blvd.

Call (573) 635-8667, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.historiccityofjefferson.org for more information about the tour.
