Lincoln returns to MIAA tonight at Washburn

The schedule-maker certainly didn't do the Lincoln football team any favors this season.

The Blue Tigers, making their return to the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association in football this season, get that started today.

But instead of easing their way in, the Blue Tigers will have to jump in with both feet as they play one of the toughest teams in the league, the Washburn Ichabods.

Then there's the pesky detail of the showdown coming just five days after Lincoln's season-opening 35-3 win over Avila.

Washburn, ranked 15th in Division II, will host Lincoln at 7 p.m. today as both teams open their MIAA schedules.
