JC School Board to discuss test results, district progress

Jefferson City's Board of Education has only two votes scheduled at Monday night's meeting but, Superintendent Brian Mitchell said, most of the evening will focus on the district's Annual Performance Report, based on information compiled by Missouri's Elementary and Secondary Education Department, and the student information that goes with it.

Board members will be told Monday that Jefferson City has earned the Distinction in Performance award for the seventh time in 11 years - and is one of 22 Mid-Missouri districts winning the honors this year.

"There's a whole lot more work that goes into drilling down into that data, to look into those trends," Mitchell said of extra analysis that needs to be done.
