The Lincoln football team came tantalizingly close to capturing its first conference win last week.
However, even being that close showed just how far away the Blue Tigers' were from their elusive goal.
Lincoln coach Mike Jones said after watching the film of last week's 24-21 loss to Fort Hays State, it was apparent the Blue Tigers have to do a better job of competing on every snap.
"Every play, you never know if that could be the play that could turn the game," Jones said as the Blue Tigers prepared for today's 6 p.m. game against the Missouri Western Griffons in St. Joseph.
