Every season, some charmed team is able to make it through its schedule injury-free. The Helias boys basketball squad is not that team.
The Crusaders have already absorbed enough blows on the health front to last them a couple seasons, and they've yet to play a game this year. So while Helias was already going to have a new look this season after losing some key contributors to graduation, it's got an even newer look now.
"It's a brand-new team," said Helias coach Josh Buffington, whose team opens the season at 5:30 p.m. today against the host school in the Buffalo Tournament.
