The parking program for downtown is expected to be withdrawn during Monday's City Council meeting.

The Jefferson City Council is expecting a full house as they are expected to pass a bill to place the proposed "Transformation" sales tax on the February ballot, one of the items on Monday night's council agenda.

"Transformation," the economic development strategic plan put forward by the Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce, has proposed a 10-year half-cent economic development sales tax that, if passed, would raise more than $41 million to complete a list of 30 projects around the city. Members of the plan's steering committee have been asked to fill the council chambers Monday to show support for the initiative and tax.
