A Jefferson City man died in a one-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning near the tri-level interchange.
Andrew M. Thomas, 27, was eastbound on U.S. 54 at U.S. 63 south, when his 1995 GMC Yukon swerved from the passing lane of U.S. 54 across the ramp to U.S. 63 south and struck the guard rail. The vehicle traveled over the guardrail and off the road.
Jefferson City police said Thomas was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
