In her mid-30s, Liz Page had earned advanced degrees, married the man of her dreams and was on her way to goal No. 3 - having children. But then she and her new husband found out they could not have biological children.

Liz and her husband, Joe, decided to explore adoption, but as a relatively older couple in their late 30s, they were told they might not be a good match for domestic adoptions.

So Liz began researching international adoption.
