Two indicted in fatal shooting

Two suspects in a fatal shooting in March were indicted this week by the Cole County grand jury.

Rondric Hunt, 24, of 312 E. Dunklin St., and Terrell Edwards, 28, of 316 Cherry St., are both charged with unlawful use of a weapon by shooting at a vehicle, resulting in the death of Cortez Bellamy, 24, on March 12.

A probable cause statement says Edwards and Bellamy were part of a confrontation involving several people after a fight with a woman around 1 a.m. March 12 at Rumors Nightclub, 710 Madison St.

Edwards left the nightclub and went to College Complex in the 2400 block of Industrial Drive.

At College Complex, Edwards met with Hunt and another person, police said, and a physical confrontation occurred between a group with Edwards and a group with the woman whom Edwards had fought at Rumors.
