A teenager from Brumley died from injuries suffered in a one-vehicle accident Friday in Miller County.
According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Andy Byrd, 41, Brumley, traveled off the north side of Missouri 42, two miles west of Brumley, around 2:10 p.m.
Byrd overcorrected, causing his vehicle to go off the left side of the road.
The vehicle then struck an embankment and overturned, striking several trees before coming to rest off the south side of the roadway.
Byrd was treated for moderate injuries.
A passenger, Andy Byrd Jr., 13, Brumley, was pronounced dead at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach about an hour after the accident happened.
Neither of the Byrds were wearing seat belts when the accident occurred.
