ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) - Drivers who use the Blanchette Bridge at St. Charles are getting a brief reprieve.
The Missouri Department of Transportation is postponing its annual safety inspection of the Missouri River crossing along Interstate 70 that connects St. Charles and St. Louis counties. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the inspection scheduled to start this week is delayed because crews are needed for emergency repairs elsewhere.
Plans now call for lane closures at various times starting Monday and continuing through Aug. 11.
