Teenager reports being robbed at knifepoint

Police are investigating a report Saturday of a teenager being robbed at knifepoint in a residential neighborhood of Jefferson City.

Officers responded around 3:50 p.m. Saturday to a call at the corner of Washington Street and Cedar Way.

The 17-year-old victim, a Jefferson City resident, told police he was getting in his vehicle when a Hispanic male, approximately 18-20 years old, entered the passenger side of the vehicle and demanded money. The suspect reportedly threatened the victim by displaying a fixed blade hunting knife.

The victim, who was unharmed during the incident, gave the suspect his money, and the suspect then ran north on Washington Street, police reported.
