Albertson taking over in California

CALIFORNIA -- Marty Albertson has been superintendent of the Moniteau County R-1 Schools for the last four years, so he is certainly no stranger to Pinto football.

For that reason he should fit in well as the new head football coach at California High School.

Albertson brings many years of experience as a coach and athlete. He played football, baseball, basketball, track and golf at Milan High School.

"I enjoyed all sports, but football and baseball were my favorites," Albertson said.

Albertson concentrated on baseball and football as a student at Northwest Missouri State University. He earned all-conference honors his last two years in both sports.

Albertson graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical education, and a master's degree in education (administration). While in graduate school, he helped run the baseball program while the coach was on sabbatical.
