It's not advisable to try it, but apparently you can spot a team 14 points after one quarter and still win a basketball game.

The Helias Lady Crusaders overcame a horrendous start Thursday night, using some withering defense over the final three quarters to beat Sedalia Smith-Cotton 52-48 at Rackers Fieldhouse.

It was an amazing turnaround after the first quarter, where the Lady Crusaders dug themselves an 18-4 hole.
