Motorcyclist killed during funeral procession

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A motorcycle rider escorting a Kansas City funeral procession has died after colliding with an SUV that pulled out in front of him at an intersection.

Kansas City police say 59-year-old William George collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Independence Avenue and White Avenue.

George later died at a hospital. His hometown was not immediately available.

The Tahoe driver was cited for driving through a funeral procession, failing to yield and not having a valid driver's license.
