Police, neighbors piecing together Ohio rampage

COPLEY, Ohio (AP) - Police and neighbors are working to piece together a shooting rampage that ended with the deaths of eight people in this small northeast Ohio town. More answers could come at a news conference at noon Monday in Copley when officials discuss the tragedy.

Police say a gunman shot his girlfriend in their home Sunday morning, then killed her brother and four neighbors in an adjacent house. Investigators say he shot two more people then was killed in an exchange of gunfire with a police officer and a former police officer.

One of the man's victims was taken to a hospital. The person's condition was not known late Sunday night.

Police did not release the names of anyone involved in the shooting.
