KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A Kansas City man could be free after serving 120 days for his role as a lookout in the killing of a woman who was nine months pregnant.
Twenty-six-year-old Lionel R. Henderson was sentenced Friday to eight years in prison, but he could be released after serving "shock time."
The Kansas City Star reported that prosecutors agreed to the deal to get Henderson to testify against co-defendant Calvin A. Boswell of Grandview. A jury found Boswell guilty last month of charges including two counts of murder. Boswell is set to be sentenced May 27.
Twenty-five-year-old Ashley Thomas had been sitting in a car with her boyfriend and another man in November 2009 when shots were fired into the vehicle. The two men also were hit, but they survived.
