Two incumbents and two newcomers seek to join the Jefferson City Public Schools Board of Education for a three-year term. Three seats are being filled in Tuesday's elections, and the winners will be the three candidates getting the most votes in the nonpartisan contest.

As they are listed on the ballot, the candidates are:

• Marie Peoples, seeking her first full term after being chosen last year to finish the final year of Brad Scrivner's term, after he was transferred to Tulsa.

• Tami Turner, a two-term incumbent seeking her third three-year term.

• John Ruth, a Jefferson City High School graduate and young parent who should not be confused with his father - also John Ruth - who previously served on the board.

• Larry Henry, a 14-year district resident and parent.
