Helias' size up front will be key to stopping Francis Howell

Greg Lorang of Helias gets pushed out of bounds by Harrisonville's Alex Bartlett in the Crusaders' 23-15 win last Friday. Lorang rushed for 115 yards and caught a pass for a touchdown.

The offensive and defensive lines knew they would have shoulder the load early this season for the Helias Crusaders.

That load is getting a little bigger Friday night when the Crusaders (1-0) host the Francis Howell Vikings (1-0) at Adkins Stadium.

"The strength of our football team right now is on the lines, they are going to have to do it again in the trenches (Friday night)," Helias coach Chris Hentges said.

The Vikings, who received votes for this week's Class 6 state poll, are big up front.
