Karen Phelan from Community Christian Church carries dolls to a car for delivery. Over the summer, volunteers purchased the dolls, then made or bought clothing and blankets for them. The dolls are being donated to the Salvation Army Center of Hope for resident children first and then distributed as needed.

Jefferson City residents Joyce Hoskins, Karen Phelan, Lois Ruth, Meryl Atterberry and Nancy Epple have undertaken a project to give to the less fortunate for the second year in a row by collecting dolls and other toys and refurbishing them to give to the Salvation Army Center of Hope.

Hoskins scours garage sales, Goodwill stores and other rummage sales throughout the year to find dolls, clothes and accessories. She and Epple sew clothes and blankets for some of the dolls. Phelan, Ruth and Atterberry join in to package the dolls individually to donate to the Salvation Army.
