The following recalls have been announced:
-About 7,700 Optimus Nova and Nova+ camping stoves and equipment imported by Katadyn North America Inc. of Minneapolis and manufactured in China. Damaged fuel lines and O-rings may cause fuel leakage, posing a fire hazard. There are 70 reports of incidents involving leaking fuel or O-ring damage, although no injuries or fires have been reported. The recall involves camping stoves, and separately sold fuel pumps and spare part kits. The recalled items were sold at specialty outdoor and sporting goods retailers in the United States and Canada and on the Internet from January 2009 through September 2010. - About 90,000 Bassettbaby drop-side cribs with external plastic hardware made by Bassett Furniture Industries Inc. of Bassett, Va., in China, Croatia, Slovenia, Taiwan and Vietnam. The cribs' drop-side rail can malfunction, detach or otherwise fail, causing part of the drop side to detach from the crib and create a space that allows an infant or toddler to become entrapped, strangled or suffocate, or fall out of the crib. There have been 18 reported incidents of the drop side malfunctioning or detaching from the crib, but none resulted in injuries.
