Jefferson City neighborhood recognized for its historic integrity, unique setting

Most of those who first moved into the two-block neighborhood known as the Hobo Hill District were middle- to upper-middle class residents. The 500 block of Jackson Street still features unique homes in Tudor styles and stone bungalows.

However it was derived, Hobo Hill has a name and history significant to the city.

The Missouri Advisory Council on Friday approved a nomination to the National Register of Historic Places for Jefferson City's Hobo Hill Historic District, pending revisions.
