Quigley leads No. 22 DePaul women over Northwestern

CHICAGO (AP) - Sam Quigley scored a season-high 23 points to lead No. 22 DePaul to its third straight win, 76-72 over Northwestern on Monday night.

DePaul (12-1), which held a 36-31 lead at intermission, opened the second half with a 16-6 run to pull away. Quigley opened the half with a 3-pointer and Katherine Harry capped the surge with a jumper to give the Blue Demons a 52-37 lead.

Kendall Hackney had 23 points and 12 rebounds, and Amy Jaeschke added 16 points for Northwestern (8-2).

Tailor Jones made a layup to pull the Wildcats to 76-72 with 59 seconds left, but Northwestern failed to take advantage on two late free throw misses by DePaul in the final minute.

Keisha Hampton added 11 points and Anna Martin had 10 for the Blue Demons, who host No. 3 Stanford on Thursday night.
