A driver on Sunday hit a utility pole and knocked out power to 54 households in southern Jefferson City. But overall, officials said Jefferson City's first seasonal snow was minor, causing few problems.
A motorist on Green Berry Road north of its intersection with Seven Hills Road struck a utility pole around noon Sunday. The pole snapped near the bottom, pulling down electrical and other utility wires into the street, which was then closed to traffic.
The driver was not injured, but 54 households were without power throughout much of the day.
