Accident suspected after body found in Missouri pond

FISK, Mo. (AP) - Authorities believe a southeast Missouri man's death in a pond was the result of an accident.

Fishermen on June 11 spotted a pickup truck in a pond near the small town of Fisk. When it was pulled from the pond, the body of 50-year-old Timothy Scott Harbin was found. He had been missing since early April.

Stoddard County Coroner Kenny Pope told the Poplar Bluff Daily American Republic (http://bit.ly/1COCxBR) that foul play is not suspected. Pope says it appears that the truck ended up in the pond as the result of a vehicle accident.

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results before determining a cause of death.
