2 barns destroyed in early morning fire

Two barns were destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning in Cole County.

The fire in the 1100 block of Osage Bend Road reported around 3:14 a.m., according to information from the Osage Fire Protection District.

By the time the first fire crews arrived, one barn, a 40-by-70-foot structure, was completely engulfed in flames.

A second barn was partially on fire and was considered a complete loss after the fire was put out.

Both barns were full of round hay bales and farm equipment.

No injuries were reported, and fire officials said the cause for the fire was listed as "undetermined."
