2 hurt in early weekend accidents

A Fulton teen was taken to University Hospital, Columbia after receiving serious injuries in a two-vehicle collision.

The Highway Patrol said the accident happened at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, when Kileigh A. Schultd, 16, turned her northbound 2004 Chevrolet Malibu left onto Route Z from Callaway County Road 116, and into the path of a southbound 2015 Ford F150 driven by Howeard W. Kelley, 48, of Williamsburg.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Only Schultd was reported as being injured.

A Barnett man, Howard R. Hill, 84, was treated Monday at Capital Region Medical Center for minor injuries, after he was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on Missouri 52.

Troopers said the accident happened at 9:25 a.m. Monday, about 2,000 feet east of Eldon Road, when Daniel L. Wendt, 66, of Olean, was slowing his 2014 Ford F-150 to make a left turn from Missouri 52, and Hill didn't stop his 2017 Dodge Ram in time to avoid a rear-end collision.

Troopers said Wendt, who wasn't reported as being injured, wasn't wearing a seat belt, but Hill was.
