Eldon students shine at 'Golden Gala' prom

Eldon High School students shined at a "Golden Gala"-themed prom held April 28 at the Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark.

Tanner Myers and Holly Wieneman were crowed prom king and queen.

Wieneman is the daughter of Joe and Janice Wieneman. She is a member of track and field, golf, band, Jazz Band, Chamber Choir and the Nazerene Church in Eldon. She is vice president of Drama Club and executive vice president of the student body. She plans to attend Mid-America Nazerene University to major in music.

Myers is the son of of Janice Myers and James Farrell. He is a member of the football and track and field teams, as well as FFA. He plans to join the U.S. Air Force after graduation.

Prom court members included:

Leah Stichler, daughter of David and Michele Stichler. She is a member of the volleyball team, FBLA, FFA, NHS, Art Club and Student Council. She plans to attend Ozark Technical College then Missouri State University to obtain a degree in art education.

Macie Halderman, daughter of Tony and Amy Halderman. She is a member of the basketball and track and field teams and NHS. She placed eighth in the state in the long jump in 2017. She plans to attend SBU on a track and field scholarship. She will graduate cum laude.

Devin DeGraffenreid, son of DJ and Cherish DeGraffenreid. He is on the basketball team and a member of FFA. He plans to work for his parents at DeGraffenreid Heating & Cooling after graduation.

Riley Pope, son of Kenny and Lisa Pope. He is a member of the football and track and field teams and FFA. He plans to attend the University of Central Missouri to play football.
