Man wanted in two counties arrested with meth

BACHELOR - A multi-county fugitive was arrested Tuesday afternoon with meth, Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism said.

Daniel Foreman, 30, of Auxvasse was wanted in Callaway County for tampering with a motor vehicle and Gasconade County for felony assault.

At 2:44 p.m. Tuesday, Callaway County deputies conducted a wanted fugitive investigation in the 9000 block of County Road 1006 near Bachelor in northeast Callaway County. Deputies had gathered information Foreman was hiding in a residence.

Deputies surrounded the residence and Foreman initially attempted to flee out a window. Upon noticing a nearby deputy, Foreman retreated back into the residence. Deputies subsequently made entry into the residence and took Foreman into custody. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine at the time of arrest.

Foreman was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he was booked/processed for the Callaway and Gasconade county warrants, in addition to a probable cause felony possession of a controlled substance (meth) offense. He is being held without bond, per the Gasconade County warrant.
