Gaylin Carver is the lone Democrat in the race for Cole County associate circuit judge.
Carver has been a partner at Carver & Michael law firm since 2009 and is also a former Cole County assistant prosecuting attorney, and was a public school teacher before entering the practice of law. She also clerked for Supreme Court Judge Mike Wolfe.
Carver will face the winner of the Aug. 7 Republican primary in the Nov. 6 general election.
