Patrol survey seeks public's concerns

Every three years, the Missouri Highway Patrol conducts a public opinion survey looking at various issues such as safety and security, officers' attitudes and competency.

The patrol announced this year's survey will be available starting July 1, and residents can fill out surveys through the end of the month.

Concerns about being victimized by crime, being involved in traffic crashes, and various social issues also are gathered in this survey. The results, along with other data, are used to assist the patrol in establishing policies and programs to better serve the needs of citizens.

The survey will be on the patrol's website at mshp.dps.mo.gov. Click on the link at the top left of the home page to start the survey. The survey can also be accessed at surveymonkey.com/r/MSHP_PUBLIC_OPINION_SURVEY .
