A California man is facing several charges after trying to flee from authorities Monday.
According to Moniteau County Sheriff's Department reports, deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle just south of California, but the vehicle sped down Bybee Road and pulled into a residence where the driver, identified as a Chad B. Osborne, 20, then exited the vehicle and began to flee on foot. Deputies caught Osborn after a brief foot chase.
Deputies also searched the immediate area after the chase and located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Osborn was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and operating a vehicle with no drivers license.
