Unattended cooking led to a kitchen fire early Saturday morning at a Jefferson City duplex.
Fire department reports show the fire in the 2100 block of Walz Court was called in at 4:52 a.m.
The fire damaged the kitchen cabinets and caused smoke damage throughout the first floor of the building.
No injuries were reported.
