Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Callaway County.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred around 12:22 a.m. on U.S. 54 eastbound, just over a mile east of Route AA.
Christopher Edwards, 40, of Fulton, was going west in the eastbound lane and struck a vehicle driven by Christopher Steelman, 32, of New Bloomfield, head-on.
After impact, Steelman's vehicle overturned and went into the median. Edwards rotated, travelled partially into the median and caught fire.
Both drivers were not wearing seat belts, and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
